I have always been a bit obsessed with scented candles. The little ritual of lighting them, the warm glow of the flame, the gentle scent wafting through the house… Give me a book, a cup of tea and a nice candle, and I’m set! So naturally I was super excited when Karin from Shadow Moon Creations got in touch to see if we’d like to review and giveaway some of her luxury hand poured soy candles. Karin makes all of the candles in the Shadow Moon Creations range by hand, using soy wax and quality fragrance oils. Her candles are sustainably made and contain no GMO material or paraffin. We get so excited about people making beautiful things with care for their products and the world around them!
For our candles Reuben and I chose the French Pear and Gingerbread scents. Both are utterly delicious. The French Pear is sweet, fruity and a little bit sophisticated, while the Gingerbread is warm and cozy. Kind of like a hug in smell form! It will be perfect to burn when the weather cools down and our house is in need of extra cozying. The candles came in lovely glass pots with a lids (which are really handy for keeping dust and stuff from floating in) and they burn for such a long time. We’ve had the pear candle burning for hours and it’s barely made a dent.
Of course, it wouldn’t be fair to talk about the loveliness of Shadow Moon Creations’ candles without giving you a chance to get your little paws on some of your own. Luckily, lovely Karin is offering you guys the chance to win two large candles in the scent of your choice! All you have to do is pop over here to check out the range, then leave us a comment letting us know which scents you would choose if you won.
We’ll draw a winner at the end of the week!
Katie x
Update: The winner of the Shadow Moon Creations giveaway is comment number 45. Congratulations Clare!

I live too far away to win a candle, but it’s still lovely to imagine the smells
Oh Katie, these are so gorgeous! I have been getting into burning incense lately, my favourite at the moment is Vanilla Madagascar. Actually I love anything vanilla. So if I had to choose a scent for the candles I would go for – Orange and Vanilla or Vanilla and Hazelnut sounds amazing too!

French Lavender, and Creme Caramel of course.
In preparation for birthing my next babe this winter, I’d choose Golden Leaves just to set the mood and French Lavendar for it’s relaxation properties as well as the clary sage factor which apparently brings on good strong labour! They look divine!
They all sound so yummy, but it would have to be French Lavender for me. Just something so calming about Lavender. Smells pretty and helps in a pinch with a headache! I like the idea they are soy too!

Oh do I love this post and giveaway. You spoke my mantra when you said, “Give me a book, a cup of tea and a nice candle, and I’m set!” And what a lovely giveaway, especially because they are soy candles, the best kind! The scents that appeal most to me (though they all sound amazing) are the Birds of Paradise and Garden Path.
Ooh, I love scented candles! My home is littered with them
If I had to choose, I’d go with ‘Lychee & Black Tea’ and ‘Gardenia’. Btw, guys, I’m loving your new home! Reminds me of the time I renovated my first home… especially those floorboards! You guys are doing an awesome job and I can’t wait to see more of the before and after photos.

Hmmmm…………Twilights Woods, Golden Leaves, or Coconut and Lime. I can’t decide LOL
I definitely need a cozy scent for the approaching winter too! Along with the Gingerbread, the Maple Pumpkin Bread would be amazing!
Thanks for the giveaway
I love soy candles – so much nicer to burn when you know they’re better for you and your environment.
I would pick French Lavender – lavender is my all time favourite, and this one also has clary sage, patchouli and rosemary – all of which I’ve not been able to have for the past 8.5 months!
I would pick the lemongrass & green tea and the lychee & black tea candles! Fingers crossed!
Soy candles are the best — eco-friendly, healthier and vegan-friendly! Really hard decision though…they all sound so good. I’d have to go with Bird of Paradise and Sugar Cookie!
Ah…. Cup of peppermint tea by my side, book in hand, baby boy Riley asleep
But no lovely soy candles!! That’s what
I’m missing!! : D
Would love the lemon verbena and gingerbread!!
Thank you Katie for your lovely blog and Shadow moon for your offer.

I would choose Garden Path and the complex Sweet Pea and Vanilla as they both sound amazing!
I choose Twilight Woods and Maple Pumpkin Bread. They sound comforting and cosy
Lemongrass & Green Tea please…but I live all the way in Cape Town, South Africa…doubt a little candle could travel soooo far
(
Like you I regularly fill the house with glorious scented candles…there are so many to chose from at Shadow Moon but as I am being asked to pick it has to be Twilight Woods or Crème Caramel
Hi Katie & Reuben!!
I’d definitely go with the French Pear and Frangipani – yum yum!
Magnolia & Sugar Cookie for sure!
These candles…wow! If I were to win I would, hard choice as it is, have to pick the Caramel Apple Cider!
I’m a bit traditional whe it omes to scets so it would either the frech lavender or the rose and geranium for me
Cinnamon Apple! How utterly delicious… only problem is it may make me crave a muffin.
I also like the sound of Gingerbread!
Twilight Woods for sure!
It would be Golden Leaves or Lychee and Black Tea for me, what lovely candles to sent the home and cover up some of the fur babies scent, especially after a swim in the dam on a hot evening.
Ooh fig & melon sounds lovely as does french pear!!
Orange Vanilla sounds fab!
Such a tough call to make!!!
Would have to go with sweet pea and vanilla. Although gingerbread is a close second
Oh! how to choose! I would be happy with any of them! But The most enticing to me are the Orange & vanilla, and the Rose & Geranium.
Hmmmm, that is a difficult choice! I think I would choose Wild Berries and Cinnamon Apple. I clean with vinegar in my house and I burn a nice candle while doing so to get rid of any vinegar smell. I have been very very surprised at what all the vinegar will clean. I have eliminated cleaning products with all the junk in them. I have also been using baking soda for shampoo for many months now with an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse and it works great. Just began using baking soda for a tooth powder instead of toothpaste. I’m semi retired and am enjoying living simply and less expensively! I enjoy your emails! Thanks!
Caramel Apple Cider please – sounds good enough to eat!
My first choice would have to be Golden Leaves….. coz I love love love patchouli !!!
And then Montego Bay took my fancy because lemon lime and mandarin are such soothing scents!
Thanks for the opportunity to win these fab candles!

Twilight Woods, and golden leaves. And they all sound great
Lemon Verbena sounds lovely! They all do! xo
