The Storybook Rabbit Plate

Little Green House Parcel

Little Green Shed Goodies

Is there anything better than receiving good mail!? I don’t think so. Especially when it’s a handwritten letter or a parcel of handmade goodies, wrapped with love, brown paper and washi tape!

In the last week we’ve been lucky enough to have not one, but two sweet little packages delivered by the postman. The first was from lovely Alana and Koren. Somehow, miraculously, I won a competition on their blog (I never win anything, ever!) so I was the happy recipient of two cute animal totes, a little fabric bookmark and a package of yummy tea. Nice! The second parcel was a housewarming gift from the gorgeous Kelly. I have long been a fan of Kelly’s work (I mentioned it way back here!) and, thanks to the magic of the internet, am now lucky enough to consider her a real friend. Naturally I was thrilled to bits when I unwrapped that adorable plate! I am completely and utterly smitten with it. I just can’t wait to hang it up on the wall in our new house.

I am constantly amazed by the wonderful things this blog has brought into our lives. Of course the little packages of handmade goodness are wonderful, but even more beautiful than the gifts themselves are what they represent. The sense of community this space has helped us create, and the friendships it has allowed us to form. It makes our hearts so very happy. You make our hearts so very happy.

Thanks for being a part of our story.

Katie x

PS We are thinking of everyone in Queensland and northern New South Wales who have been affected by floods this week, and hope you are all staying safe and dry.

Pressies in the mail are so much nicer to open than the standard bills that normally arrive! I saw your plate pic up on instagram and just love it, it’s gorgeous!

Yes, much better than bills! I think it’s a bit sad that these days most of us usually only receive bills in the mail. I think I need to start sending more friendly post! :)

Agreed, special mail makes my heart happy too! :) I’m a little excited at the thought that you can put a hook or nail in your wall to hang your lovely gift because you OWN your house now! You don’t have to worry about ‘What will the real estate think..’ yay!

Poppy is my little kitty helper. Every time I photo anything there is always at least 10 outtakes featuring her, hehe! Thanks so much for following Jenna. We are so grateful to have you here! x

Nothing is as special and exciting than finding goodies in the mail box. i guess the old traditions are the best. when you write an email is not as satisfying as writing a letter. By the way i love the plate where can you get ones like it?

That plate is gorgeous! What a nice friend.
But my favourite is the fabric you have photographed it on. Brings back so many memories of my childhood (it was my doona cover in the 70′s, although in purple). If you ever decide you don’t need it………..

I actually have the purple doona cover too! But I’m afraid I won’t be parting with them. They are my two very favourite vintage linens! x
