… We have been watching Downton Abbey.
We have been snacking on tangelos.
We have been excited about the teensy bit of extra daylight, now that the days are getting ever-so-slightly longer.
We have been snuggling up in lovely new flanelette sheets.
Reuben has been reading about dinosaurs.
Katie has found some nice things in op-shops.
We have been eating veggie enchiladas and macaroni and cheese.
Daisy has been shedding doggy hair all over everything.
We have been listening to The Shins.
We have been featured over here.
What have you been up to lately? We hope everything is peachy in your world right now!

Really love the picture of the van filled with balloons!!
Yes, isn’t it cute?! I wonder where it was going!
Love your photos Katie and Reuben…so cheerful! Love your blog in the spotlight too, awesome stuff!
I, too, am a fan on Downton Abbey and was quite chuffed recently when I heard there are going to be 2 more seasons.
Photos of your fur-kids always make me smile.
I just read your feature in ‘Blog in the Spotlight’. Congats, it’s great.
Thank you Sarah! And I can’t wait for the next two seasons of Downton! Eek!
I love Downton. I think I need to rewatch it. I had Mad Men running in the background while I work and now I’ve gone through all of those seasons I think Downton might be nice to start with.
Tangelos are my favourite citrus fruit. Those and lemonade fruits. Although I’ve only ever had one lemonade fruit and that was when I was about 10 and visiting a farm in Mildura. I don’t know if you can actually buy them…
I’m getting a little excited about the sun starting to shine for longer too.
Tangelos and lemonade fruit are my favourites too! We had a lemonade fruit tree at one of the houses I lived in as a teenager and I have very fond memories of sitting on the grass with my cousins, eating lemonade fruit in the sunshine. I have never seen them in a shop though? Someone needs to start a lemonade fruit farm so we can get our fix!
love your photos!

That’s the sort of van you feel compelled to follow.
You know it’s heading for a party!

new reader of your blog…and a fellow bendigonian! love the positivity and happy vibes the blog has! have a brilliant day!
Wow, that final photo is absolutely stunning
This is a bit of a three posts comment. 1st of all I love your green chairs and couch. They are really special. Can I ask – how do you keep them from being constantly covered in cat fur?
Also, Daisy has grown so much! Wow! I remember those first pics too (it definitely doesn’t seem like a year ago!)
Also, at least it’s Winter in Aus and that’s why the weather’s bad. It’s summer here in the UK and guess what? The weather stinks! So not to worry too much. Having a leaky and damp house sucks. I know, I’ve been there. I hope you find the perfect home soon.

How do we keep our couches from being covered in pet hair? We don’t really. Haha! Unfortunately, most of the time our house is a mess of cat and dog fur (Daisy is actually worse for shedding than the kitties!) We usually have blankets and throws over the couches which protect them a bit, but all we can really do is vacuum often. We vacuum a LOT. But we are kinda just resigned to the fact that life with animals = furry. They are worth the extra mess though!
