… We have been missing our camera, but grateful for instragram.
We have eaten a lot of cheesy potato bake.
We have been hibernating from the cold and staying in with the fur babies.
Katie has been dreaming of a better kitchen.
Reuben has been dreaming of a proper vegetable patch.
We have been looking forward to some special interstate visitors.
We have been watching a lot of How I Met Your Mother on DVD.
We have been listening to lots of Sigur Ros, Dolly Parton, Carol King, Buddy Holly and Bon Iver (eclectic much?!)
Katie has been reading Water for Elephants and the latest edition of Frankie.
Reuben has been continuing his way through his James Bond books.
We have been drinking a lot of lattes.
What have you been up to lately?

Are you loving Water for Elephants? It was my favourite book of whichever year it was that I read it. Also loving your gold ballet flats…I totally need a pair…also in pewter!
Yes, I am loving it! The gold flats are from Coles, believe it or not. They were only $10 and they are my absolute faves
oh my I just die when you guys post. i love your little life together and you two just come off as the most kind gentle people
ok done being a creep now
xoxo larissa
That’s not creepy! I feel that way too! It’s lovely when I see House of Humble in my Inbox, and I get to choose whether to click on the email straight away, or save it till the end of my email checking.
I have been up to too much faffing about, and not enough doing. I sat down yesterday and wrote up a list of priorities – looking after myself better, living in a nicer place, working somewhere permanently, and getting out more – and ways to make those things happen. Lots of them were free, and I can start doing them right away!
I started with the best ones last night though – a lovely dinner with my brother and his girlfriend, and my youngest sister and her boyfriend, and then an early night. Bliss!
Gosh Larissa and Jess, that is so nice (and not creepy!!) Thank you very, very much! xo
you two just keep getting cuter!
i’m been knitting my brains and drinking coconut iced coffee constantly.
i may brave the rain today to go pick up a few periodicals.
maybe.
*knitting my brains out. ha.
Robbie, knitting and coconut iced coffee sounds like heaven to me! x
ooh i love water for elephants! i need to get around to watching the movie. love your lace collar, your up do top knot, james bond reading (i recently read dr.no), and i love me a bit of carol king.
i’m not up to much, having my first coffee of the day, getting my little one into getting ready for school, planning my sewing list for the day, procrastinating on my housework, and most definitely deciding i need to go and get the latest frankie.
amy xx
Yes, I’m going to have to watch the movie once I finish the book. I am really loving it too! Coffee, sewing and Frankie sound wonderful!
Yesterday in the warm sunshine near Portland, OR, I bought some plants to put in our garden: hollyhocks, nasturtium and a sun gold tomato. But today it is chilly and cloudy and I am back to socks, turtleneck, slacks, sweater and a flannel blanket at hand. I am off to fix some coffee with almond milk and maybe put the heater on
Happy Days to you!
Gracie <3
That all sounds really lovely Grace! x
Lovely thoughts and photos as always…how cute are the cats on those needles? Way too much baking at our house, I blame the weather
I loved that vintage needlebook! Sadly though, it was way overpriced. Oh and I’m pretty sure there is no such thing as too much baking!
I just love your “Lately” posts. It’s so nice to just see a bunch of pictures and get a glimpse into your lives. I love reading your blog, and hope to see more awesome finds of yours in the future.
yep a bad kitchen is a decider for me too! god i hate house hunting. i wish you guys lots of luck xx
