The Bendigo Show

Last night we went to the Bendigo Show. (For our non-Australian friends, most towns in Australia have annual fairs/carnivals that we call “shows”.) Though we are new to Bendigo, a trip to the local show is a tradition for us. When we lived in Brisbane we always went to The Exhibition, and in Sydney we went to the Royal Easter Show. It’s one of our most favourite things!

We ate fairy floss, took a ride on the crappiest ghost train in the world, had a peek at the entries in the crafty competitions, spent a ridiculous amount of time patting cute farm animals (more on that to come!) and watched fireworks. It was wonderful!

Tonight we are munching our way through the small mountain of candy that came home with us. What are you up to on this fine and dandy weekend?

Aww the chickens. I love farm animals. This weekend we’re crossing our fingers and toes that another furry friend will be joining our family next week. I wish I was going to Bendigo show too though :) ! x

That looks like so much fun. I love going to fair [especially with my family].

My weekend is going to be focused on cleaning/organizing/unpacking my craft room. It’s a huge job, but I figure I’ll tackle the closet this weekend.

Sounds like fun….these shows are usually so daggy they are fun..
I am dyeing dolls hair, trying to get my office in some kind of order (never ending job) and looking after our sick lamb – curly.

That looks like so much fun! I love the picture of the chicken. The details on its feather are just phenomenal. Mother nature is the best.

Fairy Floss is the Australian term for Cotton Candy! Cute, no?

Wow, love the photo of the chips, they look tasty and yet gruesome! Looks like a fun day out, not as overly commercialized as the Sydney Easter Show for sure.
