Sure, we like eating junk food, we like fireworks and we like ferris wheels, but what we really love about going to the show is the farm animals. We always make a beeline for the barnyard nursery and spend most of our time there. Yep, we are that 20-something couple, hyped up on sugar, chasing lambs about with all the 6 year olds.
Yes. That is a tiny piglet in a bowl. Oh, the cuteness!
Reuben got to hug an alpaca. He can now die a happy man. (If you’ve been following our blog long you might recall that Reubs is mildy obsessed with alpacas.)
This adorable piglet kept resting his head on his tiny goat friend’s back. It was pretty much the cutest thing in the entire history of the world.
This little goat seemed all sweet and innocent…
Until he started eating Katie’s hair! (But Katie didn’t really mind!)
Spending time with animals makes us incredibly happy. When we finally tore ourselves away from the barnyard nursery, our hearts were just so full. In our dream life we would be surrounded by pigs, goats, alpacas and chickens every single day, but for now we’ll settle for soaking up these lovely moments with animals wherever we can.
Wishing you all a wonderful week, with full hearts and happy faces!
Katie and Reuben x
A note from Katie: I just realised I have worn this dress an awful lot on the blog. I wore it here and I wore it here. You are probably beginning to think that I don’t own any other clothes but I swear, I do! It’s just my favourite never-fail dress. Do you have one of those?

I want to have one of these piglets. Please. Or maybe I just want a fair with such a Barnyard Nursery. We don’t have that in Germany ;(!
I really, really wanted to sneak a piglet home with me but unfortunately they wouldn’t stop wiggling long enough for me to put one in my purse!
i am SO OBSESSED with goats. i would gladly give it my whole head of hair. hehe. you guys are too cute in these photos!
Super gorgeous adorable cuteness! Oh, those piglets!! And alpacas do have amazing personalities. They’re also good for helping protect sheep, in case you ever end up with any sheep (I guess they look a bit like a sheep from the neck down, but then they have this crazy long neck to completely freak out any would-be predators – cool, huh!). Miss you heaps Katie. Loving the blog. Sal xo
Haha, I always ask my husband if said store/family event/public place has already seen my “one” outfit before we go! Every lady should have a favorite go-to dress! : )
Cute photos – loving the barnyard action!!
I haven’t been to one of these kind of shows for a while. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the next available opportunity!!

My boyfriend and I were exactly the same at the show.
That one adult couple who all the parents are telling to leave because they’re too big and you’re just like “I was here first!”. I need my own farm!
Those piglets are too much! So so cute.

Oh those piglets are so adorable. That alpaca looks so soft..do they spit like Llamas and camels though?
So glad I’m a vegetarian and don’t eat any of these animals.
Aw those animals are so cute! But the smiles on both your faces are even cuter haha. You don’t even have to tell us how much you loved the animals, it’s written all over your face!
Oh my those little piglets would have killed me. So tiny! Now I want to go to a petting zoo or farm or something. Just want to see some animals.
Such a fun post! I so wish I was there! Those piggies are so sweet (we have a guy in our neighborhood walking a little pot bellied piggy every day, every time I run in to them I squeal! The guy must think I’m pretty annoying by now cause I can’t stop petting his piggy). I really love the alpacas too!
Oh, Katie I love that dress! And I know what you mean, I have a never fail dress and a never fail skirt and never fail shoes
!
That is so great that so much fun and joy was had. Animals are amazing…..that is why I guess we have been talked into getting a lamb to add to the chickens and dogs we already have. He is sooooo cute and we take him for walks around the block which puts smiles on people’s faces.
One day your dream will come true….thanks for your wonderful blog xox Jo
I love farm animals! Those pigs and that alpaca are too cute. Also, that’s such a pretty dress.
With MONTHS in between the wears, silly lady! I have MANY items of clothing that are the same to me. You just dress it up differently & who cares anyways! <3
oh i’m so jealous! the petting zoo at our fair isn’t nearly as fun and you can’t get in with the animals. those TINY PIGLETS!!!!! I would be dying from their cuteness!!!
OMG!! The teeny-tiny piglets are so friggin CUTE!!!! <3
I’m pretty funny about wearing outfits “out” more than once or twice especially with the same people, i feel like its a bit of a betrayal to all the other stuff i own, especially dresses, i wouldn’t wear the same one to an “event” twice. Which means i don’t really have a “go to” outfit. But i had noticed that about your dress, i think you wore it to finders keepers when we met without knowing!!
In other news OH MY GOD those piglets. killing me with cuteness!!!!
i wish i owned that farmyard!!
I miss having chickens! What a fun day that looks
NO SHAME. I always go to petting zoos at events/shows/carnivals. I love farm animals so much. I don’t think I’d mind if a goat started eating my hair either! So so adorable.

O…M…G! I want to go visit all the cute barnyard animals too! The animal section of our fairs are by far my favorite place of all the fairgrounds. My husband get a good chuckle at how giddy I get when I get to spend time with the animals.
And I’m super jealous about that alpaca hug! I dream of having enough land to have a few alpaca of my own some day. But for now, I will have to settle for planning a trip to my cousin’s alpaca farm [which is a pretty lengthy car ride].
super cute! So jealous of your farm adventures!
d’aww! you kids are adorable!
Oh man, those piglets. I love them!
oh my gosh, i am dying over those piglets right now!
