Homemade Pizza and Bread

I had the day to myself last Friday, so I thought I’d have a go at making bread and pizza bases from scratch…

The pizzas turned out perfectly.

But the bread…

Not so much.

Three hours of mixing, kneading, proving and baking, destroyed by an overzealous oven. I was so disappointed.

Luckily, the pizza was so good it just about made up for it.

I have yet to be successful at making pizza dough or bread. Your pizza looks amazing!! Sorry the bread didn’t turn out, but you’ve inspired me to try my hand at it once again. :)

Those pizzas look crazy-awesome! As an amateur baker, I know how it feels to put hours into making bread and then not have it come out like you expected it. I tried to make homemade cinnamon rolls one time and they came out rock-hard and they were the messiest project ever! Keep trying!

Home made is always better, even if there are a few ‘whoops-a-daisy’ moments. The pizza looks amazing. x

That pizza had my mouth watering. Love the plumpness of the cherry tomatoes.

don’t worry, these things happen. Your pizzas look amazing, though. And you have them the same way we do – plain and simple! The best :) Lloyd and I are wanting to try our hand at sourdough….

That pizza looks awesome – congratulations on your pizza prowess :D Sorry to see your efforts were not so well rewarded so far as the bread was concerned :( Do you have a bread-maker? Though I have made bread without it I do love mine – it makes a better loaf for ‘everyday’ than just a ergonomic round. Though they are always good for dipping. What I’d like to have a go at is making for focattia bread with sea salt and rosemary… Maybe you’ll have better luck next time? Happy(ier) baking!
