Bees and Lavender

Reuben took these nice pictures at a cute park near our building. We love bees and hope that one day when we live in the country, we will be able have a hive, so we can collect our own honey. We also really like lavender. Some people think lavender smells a bit nanna-ish, but that’s ok. We are a bit nanna-ish!

Great photos! I love bees too, but I don’t really want to keep them, Matt’s vegan and I don’t really like honey! But one day I want a great big garden full of buzzing bees, helping all our vegies grow!

Hey there, I’m not sure whereabouts you are located but thought you’d be interested to know, on the radio in Melbourne (triple R) a few weeks ago I heard about a group who set up hives and so on, at people’s places… in the city! I’m sure if you went on the triple r website there would be some info there. Just some food for thought! x

P.P.S. Just realised I am actually unsure of which country you are in so my first comment was probably a bit premature.

Hehe, we are in Sydney! That’s really interesting about the bees in the city. Unfortunately, at the moment we live in a little apartment so we don’t have a yard! But one day…

      Thank you for visiting :)

That was the thing about this bee thing (sorry I am not being more descriptive!) – it was all about having bees on rooftops and things like that in the inner city! Was such a cool idea, and you got to keep lots of honey as a payment or something like that. Anyway, one day!

Hi Katie, thanks loads for stopping by my blog cos it meant I found you 2! Your blog is stunning.
I am so jealous about your trip to Peppergreen Antiques, it looks just like my sort of heaven! Lloyd and I are over to visit Sydney this month ( first time for me so very excited!) I zoomed to the map to find out where is was, but sadly with no car and only a very flying visit I think it will have to wait for another time – probably just as well…wouldnt have a case big enough to get everything I’d like!
    xx
